How To Make Jam Donut French Toast Rolls Recipe
Ingredients
For the French toast:
- 8 slices of soft bread
- 2 medium eggs
- 50ml milk (any)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 tbsp raspberry jam
For the coating:
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
Makes 8 rolls - feel free to half it to make less
Instructions:
First, cut the crusts off eight slices of bread.
Roll each slice of bread out flat with a rolling pin.
Spread 1 tbsp of raspberry jam over every slice of bread, leaving a small gap at the top.
Roll them up carefully, making sure the jam does not squeeze out.
In a large bowl, whisk together 2 medium eggs, 50ml milk and 1tsp vanilla until combined.
Melt some butter in a pan.
Dip each jam roll in the egg mix, but do not soak them.
Place your rolls in the pan and toast them on medium heat until golden brown on each side.
Add 3tbsp granulated sugar to a bowl.
Coat the rolls in the sugar.
